Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama is working with Low Cost Alt Rx to help you easily find the lowest-price options for prescription drugs. This service works with your current health plan and offers personalization, convenience and ease of use. You will work with your doctor to decide what medication is best for you and your budget.
With the Low Cost Alt Rx app:
- See if a lower cost option is available for meds you are currently taking
- Search for meds with your doctor before your first bill
- Get alerts for savings opportunities – sent right to your phone
- Choose more convenient options like home delivery
- View your prescription history
The Low Cost Alt Rx app can help you make smart, cost-effective decisions when it comes to your health and prescriptions but isn't designed or intended to make clinical decisions about your drug treatment. Any changes to your drug treatment must be made by your doctor. Your doctor will consider whether or not the changes are appropriate for you.
How to get started on the app:
- Download the Low Cost Alt Rx app from the App Store or Google Play OR you can access on your browser at LowCostAltRx.com.
- Create a new login – you might need to activate a new account.
- Start accessing your benefits instantly!
