Blue Advantage is a Medicare-approved Medicare Advantage plan. Also known as Medicare Part C, Medicare Advantage plans are provided by private health insurance companies that have a contract with Medicare to provide Part C coverage in specific geographic areas. Medicare Advantage plans like Blue Advantage provide members their Medicare Part A and Part B coverage plus extra benefits, and they generally feature lower copayments than Original Medicare does.
Unlike Original Medicare, Blue Advantage provides comprehensive medical, hospital AND prescription drug coverage—all in one easy to use plan. That means you don't have to pay a separate Part D plan premium to get important prescription drug coverage.
